Artists from both China and Vietnam gathered in Hanoi this week for a Mid-Autumn Festival Gala celebrating the deep cultural bonds between the two neighbors.

Held on Thursday night, the event was not only a festive occasion but also one of the signature activities marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges.

The gala featured four themed chapters blending traditional and modern performances. Highlights included Tai Chi demonstrations, folk music played on traditional instruments, and colorful dances that showcased the artistry of both countries.

Officials praised the gala as a symbol of friendship, comparing the relationship between China and Vietnam to the festival's full moon, which "illuminates the broad path of bilateral cooperation."

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival falls on October 6, a holiday observed with shared traditions in both nations.
