Colombian President Gustavo Petro responded on social media after the U.S. revoked his visa, saying he "doesn't need" it and emphasizing that freedom of speech must not be criminalized. Petro condemned Washington's stance on Gaza, warning that "killing innocent babies will not make America great."
The U.S. State Department said the visa revocation was a response to what it called Petro's "reckless and incendiary actions" during a pro-Palestinian protest in New York, where he urged U.S. soldiers to "obey humanity rather than Trump's orders."
