Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has voiced strong backing for Chinese President Xi Jinping's Global Governance Initiative (GGI), calling it a trustworthy framework for improving global order.
President Xi proposed the GGI on September 1 while chairing the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus" Meeting in Tianjin, north China. The event marked the largest summit in the SCO's 24-year history, attended by leaders from over 20 countries and 10 international organizations.
