The Greater Bay Area Film Concert 2025 was held at the Galaxy Arena in south China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on Sunday evening. The event featured a star-studded lineup of artists from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Taiwan region, and the international stage, performing a selection of classic hits.
Since its 2021 debut, the concert, branded as "The Rising Moon in the Bay Area," has become a major cultural IP for celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in the Greater Bay Area. It centers on the festival's core theme of "reunion and togetherness," connecting people from the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Chinese communities worldwide through film and music. This year's gala in Macao blended classic melodies with contemporary sounds, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like XR virtual production and AI restoration to create a visually spectacular and culturally resonant audiovisual feast.
The concert brought together nearly 100 artists. The lineup, spanning three generations of performers, was hailed as the "strongest of the year," featuring celebrated and popular singers like Zhou Shen and Shan Yichun, alongside renowned artists such as Miriam Yeung and Joey Yung.
