China Media Group launches its premium film and television programs in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, September 29, 2025. /CMG

China Media Group (CMG) launched a showcase of its premium film and television programs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Monday on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Nine selected productions were presented at the launch, and Hong Kong residents were invited to join in celebrating National Day.

John Lee, chief executive of the HKSAR; Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG; and Zhou Ji, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, together with many other guests, attended the launch.

The selected programs, including documentary films, special features and documentaries, will be screened at local universities, academic institutions, and cultural centers across the HKSAR starting September 30.

The programs capture the changes of the times through images and tell touching stories of ordinary people, enabling the Hong Kong compatriots to better appreciate the great strength of the country's development while further promoting cultural exchanges and emotional bonds between the Chinese mainland and the HKSAR.
