China has achieved a groundbreaking milestone in magnetic technology. A fully superconducting magnet developed by the Institute of Plasma Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences has generated a steady magnetic field of 351,000 gauss (35.1 tesla) – setting a new world record. The system maintained stable operation for 30 minutes, marking a major leap forward for nuclear fusion research, medical MRI technology, aerospace propulsion and superconducting transportation.
