Known as the "Color Sprite" of Jiuzhaigou in southwest China's Sichuan Province, Five-Flower Lake is famous for the colors of its water. In spring, it reflects fresh green. In summer, it shimmers with azure blue. In autumn, it blends red, orange and yellow. In winter, it is covered with glittering ice crystals. The dead trees formed by calcified deposits at the bottom of the lake contrast with the clear lake water, like a colorful gem inlaid among the mountains and forests.
