The Palestinian Authority on Monday, speaking on behalf of the State of Palestine, reaffirmed its commitment to work with the United States, regional countries, and international partners to end hostilities in the Gaza Strip through a comprehensive agreement. It also pledged to complete reforms within one year of the war's conclusion.

This statement, issued by Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA), outlined that the proposed "comprehensive agreement" to end the war in Gaza would ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, the release of hostages and prisoners, mechanisms to protect the Palestinian people, and respect for a ceasefire guaranteeing security for both sides. It would also prevent land annexation and the displacement of Palestinians, end unilateral actions that violate international law, release withheld Palestinian tax revenues, and lead to a full Israeli withdrawal – paving the way toward a just peace based on the two-state solution.

The statement underscored Palestine's commitments made at the International Conference in New York, including completing a reform program and holding presidential and parliamentary elections within one year of the war's end. It emphasized that all candidates would be required to adhere to the political program and international commitments of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), international legitimacy, and the principle of one system, one law, and one legitimate Palestinian security force.

"We have affirmed our desire for a modern, democratic, and non-militarized Palestinian state, committed to pluralism and the peaceful transfer of power," the statement said.

The State of Palestine affirmed its readiness to engage positively and constructively with all parties in order to achieve peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.

Earlier Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had accepted a U.S.-backed proposal to end the war in Gaza. Hamas also received the proposal, with its delegation stating it would study it "with sincere intent" before issuing an official response.
