Various places in China have held activities and flag-raising ceremonies to celebrate the occasion. In east China's Shandong Province, tourists gathered at the summit of Mount Taishan to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the PRC by raising the national flag, watching the sunrise and singing patriotic songs.
