Standing at an altitude of 1,260 meters, Laojun Pavilion is a prominent landmark perched atop the First Peak of Qingcheng Mountain, a sacred site of Taoism. Inside the hollow pavilion, a magnificent statue of Laozi, the founder of Taoism, riding an ox, serves as the centerpiece. As the tallest structure on Qingcheng Mountain, Laojun Pavilion offers a breathtaking panorama on clear days: visitors can gaze across distant mountain ranges and take in the lush expanse of the "Tianfu Plain" (the fertile Chengdu Plain) stretching for hundreds of miles.
