The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important time for Chinese people to gather with their families. As part of the celebrations, China Media Group (CMG) invites global audiences to the enchanting city of Deyang for the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival Gala.

Set amid the stunning natural scenery of southwest China's Sichuan province, the gala will feature songs, old and new, focusing on the festival's core theme of missing home and family reunion at the time of the full moon.

The Gala will also mark significant historical anniversaries, including the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the 60th anniversary of the founding of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, the 70th anniversary of the founding of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the 75th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers army entering the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, integrating these milestones into its thematic elements.

Deyang, as a modern manufacturing hub and gateway to the ancient Kingdom of Shu and its mysterious Sanxingdui culture, is a place where tradition and innovation not only coexist, but reinforce each other. In a striking episode designed to highlight this harmony, the gala will tour the Sanxingdui Museum in the company of a robot which, by interacting with the artifacts, will create a dialogue between China's intelligent manufacturing and ancient civilization.

The gala will be broadcast simultaneously to a global audience at 8 p.m. on October 6 Beijing Time on various CMG TV channels, including CCTV-1, CCTV-3, CCTV-4 and CCTV-15, and new media platforms as well as overseas social media platforms.

Audiences in countries such as the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Colombia and Sri Lanka, along with viewers in China's Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, will also be able to enjoy the event through local mainstream media, sharing the festive celebration worldwide.
