Amanda Anisimova brushed off a mid-match stumble to defeat Linda Noskova in three sets, claiming the second WTA 1000 title of her career and fourth overall at the China Open in Beijing on Sunday.
The USA's World No. 4 Anisimova started the final ruthlessly, using precise angles and raw power to dominate the first set 6-0 in just 23 minutes.
But the 20-year-old Noskova was unfazed by the rough start to her first WTA 1000 final, as the 26th-seeded Czech hit back to take the second set 6-2.
Anisimova regained control in the decider, reaching championship point and converting with a sizzling backhand to close out the proceedings 6-2. She collapsed to the court joyfully after becoming the third American to win the China Open, following Coco Gauff and Serena Williams.
The 24-year-old Anisimova has four titles, and also advanced to the finals at Wimbledon and the US Open, to highlight a breakthrough season.

Second-seeded Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini of Italy battled from behind to defeat Japan's Miyu Kato and Hungary's Fanny Stollar in three sets, winning their second consecutive China Open women's doubles title.
The Italian duo captured their fourth joint crown of 2025, having already lifted one Grand Slam trophy at the French Open and topped the podium at two WTA 1000 events this season.
Errani and Paolini battled Kato and Stollar into a tiebreaker in the first set, but managed only one more point to concede the extra session 7-1. Despite the early setback, the European duo remained determined to defend their title.
The reigning champions bounced back in the second set, converting two of five break point opportunities while not allowing their opponents any break chances, en route to prevailing 6-3 and forcing a decider.
In the third set, a 10-point super tiebreaker, the Italians jumped out to a 4-0 lead before converting their first match point to seal the deal 10-2.
The win means Errani and Paolini follow their first title in 2024 with a successful defense in 2025, making them the first pair in China Open history to claim back-to-back women's doubles championships.
