Dunhuang welcomes tourist boom during the National Day holiday
Boasting unique desert landscapes, the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring scenic spot in Dunhuang was once an important stop along the ancient Silk Road in northwest China's Gansu Province. This year, the site experienced a peak surge in visitor numbers during the eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn holidays, with many visitors choosing to experience the sand dunes and ancient city of Dunhuang by camel.
