Full moon over China｜Mid-Autumn moments from across the nation
One moon, countless moments. On Oct. 6, 2025, a full moon lit up China for the Mid-Autumn Festival, casting its glow across cities and traditions.
In Shanghai, the bright moon aligned perfectly with the towers of the Yangtze River Bridge – a scene echoing the classic line "The bright moon rises over the sea."
In Beijing, the moon hung quietly over the iconic Lian Bridge at the Summer Palace, and later, bathed the Temple of Heaven in silver light, where the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests stood solemn beneath the night sky.
Up north in Dalian, crowds gathered to witness a "supermoon" in its fullest glory. Just past midnight on October 7, a bird cut across the glowing orb – a fleeting, poetic moment captured on camera.
