During China's National Day holiday, the Hanging Temple in Hunyuan, north China's Shanxi Province, has drawn a large number of visitors from home and abroad. Tourists edged carefully along the narrow wooden walkaways, clinging to the rock face. Built more than 1,500 years ago on the cliffs of Mount Heng, the temple is famed for being "suspended yet steady, perilous yet safe, and ingeniously crafted."
