Data shows 83 percent of those killed were civilians, which is extremely high for modern warfare. A profound humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Gaza, where severe food deprivation and the shattered healthcare system are leading to catastrophic birth outcomes for pregnant women and newborns, threatening the survival of an entire generation.

According to the UN, at least 1.9 million people across the Gaza Strip have been displaced during the war. Of the cropland in the Gaza Strip, 98.5 percent is either damaged, inaccessible, or both, leading to more than 500,000 people facing famine. Health facilities were largely destroyed, only 13 remain and are partially operational under dire conditions.

Statistics cannot capture the human suffering, but reveals the scale of catastrophe in the densely populated coastal territory.
