China hopes a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza is achieved as soon as possible, effectively easing the humanitarian crisis and reducing regional tensions, said Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson of China's Foreign Ministry at a regular news conference on Thursday.
