1+3=∞: A mother's 30-year saga

"I love to have nice food, wear gold jewelry, dress well and look good. Even when I die, I still want to look gorgeous." Passionate and carefree, these words are from a mother from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Dilnigar Qahar, a dancer with the Kashi City Song and Dance Troupe, greets visitors from around the world each day at the opening ceremony of the old town with her graceful performances. At six, she lost her father. Her mother, running a small clothing store, raised three daughters on her own. For nearly three decades, she persevered, sometimes on the verge of giving up, yet always wiping away her tears and pressing forward. Time has flown by. Under their mother's devoted care, the three daughters have grown into building their own families, careers, and paths of study. When asked about her hopes for her daughters' marriages, this mother simply said, "They can marry whoever they like." As the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women approaches, her story stands as a moving tribute to resilience, love and beauty in life.
