It has been more than 80 years since the Nanjing Massacre. Yet in Japan, discussions about war crimes and relations with China are often still avoided. One choir in Japan is working on changing all that. Members of the Grass Choir use their melodic voices to address the sensitive issue of Nanjing's legacy. Theirs are voices of peace, voices that educate, voices that heal. Their performances in China have made a deep impression on local audiences, giving people a sense of hope that the painful history of the Nanjing Massacre will not be forgotten, and that friendship shall continue to blossom.
