China is sharing its wisdom and experience in women's development with partners around the world. A key example is the UNESCO-Peking University project on Health Education for Girls in Africa. Through this initiative, the project has introduced the "Ai Xiaoya" handbook, which means "For Her Health," a girls' health and well-being manual, to African countries. The handbook is a source of essential information on girls' health, and helps to cultivate gender awareness in order to build positive relationships. CGTN spoke with the project lead, Professor Ma Yinghua from the School of Public Health at Peking University. She explained how this initiative is transforming the lives of girls and strengthening local education systems in Nigeria, Uganda and Botswana.
