Christine Arab, UN Women regional director for Asia and the Pacific, said it is inspiring that the Chinese government is hosting the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, bringing together leaders from around the world to discuss gender equality. She believes the event provides a timely opportunity for countries to share best practice, learn from one another, and explore effective measures to close the gender gap.
