China's largest base for its third-generation Hualong One nuclear reactors in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, has reached a key milestone in the country's clean energy transition. Unit 2 of the China National Nuclear Corporation's Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant began its first nuclear fuel loading on October 11.
This stage marks the transition from non-nuclear to nuclear testing in nuclear power project construction and represents one of the most crucial steps before a unit is connected to the grid for power generation.
