China has made significant progress in advancing women's cause, according to the white paper titled "China's Achievements in Women's Well-Rounded Development in the New Era."

Released by the State Council Information Office on September 19, the white paper came ahead of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, which is scheduled to take place in Beijing on October 13 and 14.
