China will soon host the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in Beijing to mark the anniversary of the 1995 World Conference on Women. CGTN Stringer took to the streets in China and in countries across Africa and Latin America, inviting locals to discuss topics such as women's progress and development, as well as female-themed films and books – highlighting global attention to women's issues.

In Beijing, Betizhe Osmanova Akova, a student from Tsinghua University, joined local youths to discuss defining qualities of women. Ms. Zhang, one of the participants, described women as tenacious, tolerant and wise.
