A taste of Xinjiang: An American guest's journey into local cuisine

CGTN's Caroline Wu took Kevin, a guest from the United States, to a typical Xinjiang restaurant, kicking off an authentic journey into Xinjiang cuisine. They sampled a range of classic Xinjiang delicacies one by one, from the aromatic da pan ji (Xinjiang-style braised chicken cooked in a large pan) to the chewy and smooth gan ban mian (hand-pulled noodles in a savory sauce), to the rich-tasting naan (Xinjiang flatbread). Amid the enjoyment of every bite, Kevin was fully immersed in the charm of Xinjiang's food culture and vibrant daily life.
