CGTN exclusive: CIDCA vice chair on China's efforts to empower women

The Global Leaders' Meeting on Women is held in Beijing from October 13 to 14.

CGTN reporter Cen Ziyuan conducted an exclusive interview with Hu Zhangliang, vice chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), on China's efforts to promote global women's initiatives. Hu noted that President Xi Jinping has emphasized that women are both the creators of human civilization and the drivers of social progress, saying that without the liberation and progress of women, there can be no human liberation and progress.

Through this interview, CIDCA officially released the seventh issue of China's Practice in International Development Cooperation, focusing on "Women's Empowerment and Development." It marks the first time CIDCA has published a special report on China's international development cooperation in the field of women's advancement. Hu said the report underscores China's consistent adherence to key principles guiding its international cooperation for women's empowerment and development.
