Hamas has begun releasing the Israeli hostages. Seven Israeli hostages have been handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and are currently reported to be in good condition. Shortly afterward, the ICRC confirmed that it had received the seven detainees released by Hamas.

According to Palestinian media reports on the 13th, Hamas will release the hostages in two batches: the first at 8 a.m. local time and the second at 10 a.m. local time. In return, Israel is expected to release the Palestinian prisoners and detainees it holds at 10 a.m. local time.
