Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in Beijing on Monday morning and delivered a keynote speech.

He called for empowering women to play a substantive role in global governance, supporting the central role of the UN, and creating broad cooperation platforms for women from all countries.
