British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday said the country stands ready to help monitor the ceasefire in Gaza and to decommission the weaponry and capability of Hamas in the enclave.

"We, the United Kingdom, stand ready to play our full part," Starmer said from the Egyptian seaside resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. "In particular, we stand ready in relation to monitoring the ceasefire and decommissioning Hamas capability and weaponry."
