At the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in Beijing, delegates hailed China's progress in empowering women through education, health, and economic opportunity.
UN Women's Anna Mutavati said delegates were impressed by China's progress in women's education, health, and economic empowerment. Pansy Ho Chiu-king from MGM China noted that 30 years after the Beijing Declaration, China has "fulfilled its goals" and is ready to lead new progress. Maimona Khalid from Sudan highlighted China's emphasis on education and women's innovation. Maja Stefanovic, Serbian Ambassador to China, said women's rights are integral to China's vision of a shared future. Ruan Jianhong from the National Bureau of Statistics of China called this a "golden stage" for young women in China's modernization.
