Chinese drone maker DJI filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals on Tuesday, challenging a ruling upholding its inclusion on the United States Department of Defense's so-called list of Chinese military companies (CMC list).
DJI had previously filed a lawsuit against the Pentagon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on October 18, 2024. While the court dismissed the Defense Department's allegations against DJI, it nevertheless upheld the decision to keep the company on the list.
The company said it does not agree with or accept the ruling and formally lodged an appeal on October 14 to defend its position.
