China has imposed countermeasures against five U.S.-linked firms, prohibiting organizations and individuals within China from engaging in transactions, cooperation and other activities with them, the commerce ministry said on Tuesday.
These measures, which take effect immediately, are a response to the United States' recent implementation of the final measures following a Section 301 investigation into China's maritime, logistics and shipbuilding sectors, the ministry said in a statement.
