A special exhibition titled "Voice of China, Light of the World –Soong Ching Ling and International Communication" has opened in Shanghai. The show highlights the lifelong efforts of the late honorary president of the People's Republic of China in promoting China's voice internationally and commemorates the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

Jointly organized by the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Research Association, the China Welfare Institute, and others, the exhibition showcases over 100 rare artifacts and documents. These include Soong's published articles, personal manuscripts, and correspondence with Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai.

Divided into three sections –wartime reporting, post-war communication, and ongoing international storytelling –the exhibition uses historical records, artistic installations, and multimedia displays to bring Soong's vision into a modern context.

As a lifelong advocate for peace and international solidarity, Soong Ching Ling played a vital role in rallying global support for China's resistance against fascism and in promoting the nation's image during its post-war reconstruction. Organizers said the exhibition is both a tribute to one of China's most influential women of the 20th century and a celebration of her enduring legacy in international peace and friendship.

Xue Chao, President of the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Research Association, emphasized that Soong Ching Ling consistently stood with the Communist Party of China, upholding the principles of truthful reporting and inviting both domestic and international figures to help communicate China's realities and values to the world.

"We must carry forward Soong Ching Ling's noble spirit, and let the flower of peace continue to bloom on the shared soil of humanity," Xue said.

The exhibition is open to the public at the Soong Ching Ling Mausoleum in Shanghai.
