On China's second-largest grassland, the Bayanbulak, Tong Gulong dedicates herself to preserving the centuries-old epic "Jangar" of the Mongolian ethnic group. Gulong collects the myths and folk songs associated with the Tianshan Mountains to help carry the epic of "Jangar" beyond China's borders. She strives to keep this ancient tale alive, passing on the courage, beauty and nomadic spirit that inspired it to a new generation.
