Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday met with Icelandic President Halla Tomasdottir, who was in Beijing for the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women. Xi noted that both China and Iceland actively advocate gender equality, adding that China attaches importance to developing its relations with Iceland, ready to strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation to deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
