Israel and Hamas have carried out a prisoner exchange deal under a ceasefire agreement that saw the release of nearly 2,000 Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails, and 20 Israeli captives held in the Gaza Strip. After a long wait, released individuals from both Palestine and Israel were finally able to reunite with their families.
On October 13, CGTN Stringer captured the scene of the released Palestinian hostages reuniting with their families in Khan Yunis, Palestine. A woman whose husband was released said, "My husband has returned safely. I'm so happy."
