China's Hainan Free Trade Port is set to launch island-wide special customs operations on December 18. It's seen as a major step in deepening the country's opening-up. The FTP's zero-tariff policy will expand from 1,900 to about 6,600 tariff items, covering nearly three-quarters of all product categories. Officials say the move will benefit more global investors amid global uncertainties.
