Thirty Years of Female Empowerment

It has been 30 years since China hosted the UN Fourth World Conference on Women. This was a landmark event that witnessed the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, aimed at achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women worldwide. True to the principles of the Beijing Declaration, in the new era, China has made women's development an integral part of its national vision, protecting their rights through legislation, promoting equality through sound policies, and breaking down gender barriers through concrete action. On the journey ahead, China's women, in "holding up half the sky," will continue to grow in strength and vigor.
