China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Beijing on Friday. This year marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of the China–Canada strategic partnership.

Wang said China is ready to strengthen communication with Canada, deepen mutual understanding, build trust, and advance bilateral ties in a forward-looking spirit. Anand noted that momentum for improving relations between the two countries remains strong and expressed hope that both sides will work together to further elevate ties.
