Nobel Prize-winning physicist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chen Ning Yang, passed away in Beijing on October 18 at the age of 103.
Born in 1922 in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, Yang pursued his studies and teaching career in the United States during the 1940s and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1957.
