U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin want to end the war in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy met with Trump at the White House to seek Tomahawk missiles, while Trump positioned himself as a mediator and said both sides are pursuing a peace deal. The remarks came a day after Trump held a two-and-a-half-hour phone conversation with Putin, which he described as productive.
