In an interview with China Media Group's Leaders Talk, Christine Arab, UN Women's Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, said China has made "remarkable progress" in promoting gender equality, particularly in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). She noted that China's progress "stands out globally," with strong legal protections and expanded access to education for women and girls.
