Bulldozers were deployed in Khan Younis on Friday to search for more bodies in Gaza. Later that night, Hamas handed over to Israel another body, the tenth deceased hostage returned out of the 28 believed to be held in Gaza.

Disputes over the remains of Israeli hostages have posed threats to the fragile ceasefire. On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed the determination to "secure the return of all hostages," while the Israeli defense minister had previously threatened to resume fighting if Hamas failed to honor the agreement. Hamas says it remains committed to the terms of the agreement but cites technical difficulties in locating the bodies under the rubble.
