Shenyang robot clash: Top universities' tech titans gear up for showdown

The 2025 Shenyang Robot Competition took place at Northeastern University this week, with elite teams from leading universities such as Northeastern University, the University of Science and Technology of China, Dalian University of Technology and Beijing Institute of Technology competing fiercely. The event features a combination of group round-robin and knockout formats, with challenging tasks that test comprehensive capabilities in mechanical design, automatic control and AI algorithms, including multi-robot collaboration and complex environmental confrontation.

Backed by 45 local universities, 57 research institutions and key platforms like the National Robot Innovation Center, the competition fosters a "production-education-research-competition" ecosystem.
