The Shenchong Coastal Resort in Danzhou City, Hainan Province, welcomed its first batch of visitors this month. Once a fading fishing port with only 48 households remaining, Shenchong Village has been revitalized through the restoration of its cultural and historical heritage. Nestled in this 400-year-old fishing settlement with many well-preserved volcanic stone houses, the resort features attractions such as homestays, cafes, and a seaside club that offers paddleboarding and kayaking.
