The CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) announced its schedule for the 2025-26 regular season on Monday.
Instead of tipping off in October, in line with recent years, the league's 31st campaign will instead get underway on December 12, due to the 15th National Games of China taking place in November.
The only contest on opening night will feature defending champions the Guangsha Lions hosting the Shanxi Loongs in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.
The regular season will wrap up on April 24, 2026, with all 10 games beginning at the same time.
Each of the league's 20 clubs will play a total of 42 regular season games. They will face every team twice and four additional opponents a third time.
The scheduling groups for the five teams that will meet three times are as follows:
- Guangsha Lions, Beikong Royal Fighters, Shandong Kylins, Tianjin Pioneers, Ningbo Rockets
- Beijing Ducks, Qingdao Eagles, Zhejiang Golden Bulls, Guangzhou Loong Lions, Fujian Sturgeons
- Shanxi Loongs, Guangdong Southern Tigers, Shanghai Sharks, Jilin Northeast Tigers, Sichuan Blue Whales
- Liaoning Flying Leopards, Xinjiang Flying Tigers, Nanjing Monkey Kings, Shenzhen Leopards, Jiangsu Dragons
