Ex-WB China head: Resilient quality growth, services drive next phase

As China concludes its 14th Five-Year Plan and prepares for the next, former World Bank China Director Bert Hofman says the economy has shown remarkable resilience, maintaining around 5 percent growth amid global uncertainty while advancing innovation and manufacturing. China has continued to make steady progress in pursuing high-quality growth. He believes that with investment levels still high, the services sector will play a central role in driving future growth and job creation, a key focus for the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan.
