Flocks of white spoonbills migrating south were spotted resting at the Wolong Lake wetland in Kangping County, Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on Monday. The golden reeds, clear waters, blue skies and graceful migratory birds created a breathtakingly harmonious scene across the lake.
In recent years, Kangping County has prioritized ecological conservation, implementing continuous restoration and management efforts at Wolong Lake. A series of ecological conservation projects have significantly improved water quality and revitalized the wetland ecosystem, providing migratory birds with a more suitable habitat for resting and feeding. Today, it has become a vital "refuelling stop" along the migratory routes of many bird species.
