Five Chinese table tennis players have withdrawn from the WTT Champions event in Montpellier, opting instead to turn their full focus to the upcoming National Games in November.

Wang Chuqin, Sun Yingsha, Lin Shidong, Liang Jingkun and Wang Manyu all decided not to participate in the World Table Tennis tournament in France.

China recently claimed top honors on both the men's and women's sides at the Asian Table Tennis Team Championships, which took place in India.

The country's paddlers will now switch their attention to preparing for China's 15th National Games, with the table tennis competitions scheduled to open serve on November 7 in the Macao Special Admininstrative Region.
