Russian missile and drone attacks in and around the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, killed six people, including two children, on Wednesday, according to emergency services.

Firefighters were seen hosing down burning buildings and rescuing residents in Kyiv and the nearby city of Brovary. Ukrainian officials said the overnight assault involved ballistic missiles followed by waves of drones. There has been no immediate comment from Moscow.
